Ikara - Flinders Ranges & Lake Eyre Workshop - Sept 19th to 24th 2022 -2 Places Left!!!

This brand new workshop announcement is one of my most anticipated trips in 2022. 

The Ikara - Flinders Ranges National Park is situated in South Australia, about 430km north of Adelaide and consists of some of Australia’s most incredible rock formations, hundreds of millions of years old. Endless photography opportunities await you as we travel to and stay at the Wilpena Pound Resort, located right in the heart of the ranges. 

For five days we will immerse ourselves in the deep gorges, open plains, endless trails and timeless views. Each day will consist of exploring the ranges and surround.

The Flinders Ranges are an ancient and rugged mountain landscapes, peaceful tree-lined gorges and a seasonal wealth of wildlife. The sense of space unique to the semi-arid zone combine to make Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park one of South Australia’s iconic destinations.

The park comprises approximately 95,000 hectares. It includes the Heysen Range, Brachina and Bunyeroo gorges and the vast amphitheatre of mountains that is Wilpena Pound. Experience the native wildlife, rich cultural heritage, impressive geological features, whilst being expertly guided in your photography by Cam Blake.

For 5 nights and 6 days will be staying at the very comfortable and perfectly located Wilpena Pound in your own private room, right on the doorstep of the Ranges. This trip also includes two incredible flights over the range and surrounds.

• Flight one is a 30 minute scenic flight that travels over the Wilpena Pound geological features, north along the “spine” of the ranges, and then back along the ABC Ranges. A flight that highlights the incredible timeline of geology.
• Second flight is one of the major highlights of the trip; a full day exploring the ranges, flying north to Lake Eyre, William Creek and a 45min tour of the Painted Hills, a stunning location for any photographer. We land for an outback pub lunch and from there we fly out, to a very special location called the Painted Hills.
