Overall, the 4x OM System days were a complete success. We had so much fun, explored so many laneways, and back alleys of a Melbourne that I never knew, and in the process, created some amazing images of this amazing, thriving modern day metropolis.

The decision to upgrade to a camera that was the newest, and thus far only release from OMDS, wasn't the easiest decision to make. Considering the new OM1 had the same sensor and megapixel rating as the EM1 Mk3, it could appear redundant to drop some $3K plus on this new body.

In reality, landscape photography is one of the most difficult genres to do well, and requires a lot more preparation than more improv-style genres like street or candid photography. Today we’re going to discuss two critical behind-the-scenes elements of every successful landscape photograph - timing and planning.
The Story Behind An Image
For every image we produce there is always some kind of back-story or inspiration behind the final image. Sometimes this just comes naturally from your adventures, other times it is driven by another artist you are inspired by. Either way, every image needs a back-story.
