The Daintree area boasts one of the planet's oldest forests, spanning 1,200 square kilometers (460 square miles) and forming part of Australia's largest continuous tropical rainforest expanse. This region, listed as a World Heritage site within the Wet Tropics, shares its ecological richness with the Kuranda Rainforest and hosts a diverse array of flora and fauna.

Beginning at Mossman Gorge near the quaint sugar mill town of Mossman, the Daintree region stretches northward, traversing fertile farmlands, sprawling valleys, and reaching landmarks like Daintree Village, the meandering Daintree River, and the ancient rainforests of Cape Tribulation within the national park.

As mentioned, the Daintree is part of Australia's World Heritage regions located in far north Queensland (FNQ). It is know for its tropical and lush temperate rainforests, but also its incredible range of wildlife, from crocodiles, to the Daintree's own green tree python.

With all this located in the Daintree, it makes for one of the best places in Australia for a wide range of macro photography locations. From tree frogs, to amazing tropical butterflies, bugs, ants, wasps, and moths, this place has it all... and we are going to put you right in the middle of it all.

For 4 nights and 5 days you will be immersed in the Daintree as we spend everyday exploring all locations within and around the Daintree. This will be one very special workshop visiting one of the world heritage regions, armed with our cameras and macro lenses to capture the macro world within.
