Sail the Three Capes — Exclusive Photography Journey

January 4–6, 2027
Only 6 Places Available

A rare photographic adventure along Tasmania’s most dramatic coastline

Step aboard a luxury ocean racer and experience the raw, untamed beauty of the Tasman Peninsula from the best vantage point possible — the sea.

This exclusive 3-day, 2-night photography journey is designed for those who want more than just a tour. With only four guests onboard plus your guides and crew, you’ll have space, time, and uninterrupted access to capture some of Australia’s most iconic coastal landscapes.

What You’ll Experience

Sailing aboard a world-class yacht, you’ll explore:

  • Tasman Island

  • Cape Pillar

  • Cape Hauy

  • Port Arthur coastline

  • Fortescue Bay

  • The Totem Pole

  • Much, much more...

From towering sea cliffs to remote rock formations, every location offers powerful photographic opportunities — especially in the changing light of sunrise and sunset.

You’ll also encounter local wildlife, with opportunities to photograph seals, seabirds, and marine life in their natural environment.

Your Vessel — Helsal IV

Your home for the journey is Helsal IV, a 62-foot (18.65m) luxury ocean racer/cruiser and veteran of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

Purpose-built for performance and comfort, Helsal IV offers:

  • Spacious deck access for photography

  • Comfortable overnight accommodation

  • Stable sailing ideal for coastal exploration

  • An experienced crew familiar with the Tasman Peninsula

Departing directly from Hobart, this vessel allows access to remote and otherwise unreachable locations.

Important — Mobility & Suitability

This experience takes place on an active sailing vessel in open ocean conditions.

Guests must have a good level of mobility, balance, and stability, and be comfortable:

  • Moving around a boat while at sea

  • Stepping between surfaces and navigating a yacht interior

  • Standing for periods while shooting

  • Adapting to changing sea and weather conditions

This trip is best suited to those with an adventurous spirit and confidence on the water.

If you’re unsure about suitability, we strongly encourage you to get in touch before booking.

Cam is a very experienced photographer who is passionate about helping others develop their understanding of cameras and how to take the best photos possible!! During my 5 day trip to The Tarkine area of Tasmania with Cam’s tour group, I found Cam to be a fun, well organised guide who had a deep understanding of many facets of photography. I would definitely consider doing another trip with Cam!
