Hobart and its surroundings indeed offer a plethora of picturesque locations for photography enthusiasts. Here are some notable places you might want to consider capturing with your camera:

Mount Wellington/kunanyi:

• Capture breathtaking panoramic views of Hobart and the surrounding landscapes from the summit.
• Experiment with different lighting conditions, especially during sunrise or sunset for stunning shots.
• Mount Wellington has a fantastic array of forests scenes that can be explore from the bottom to the top of the mountain. 
• During Summer there is usually a beautiful display of the native Scoparia plant with all its colours on the summit - well worth a evening visit into sunset. 
• Winter months you will find the road to the summit can close due to ice and snow. However, if you can get up there in winter the mountain can offer you some stunning views, and snowcapped scenes. 

Tasman Peninsula:

• Explore the dramatic coastal scenery, including the towering sea cliffs and rugged shorelines.
• Visit the iconic Port Arthur Historic Site, known for its convict history and well-preserved architecture.
• Be sure to visit the Remarkable Cave, Devil's Kitchen, Waterfall Bay and Pirates Bay for more dramatic coastal images. 

 Tessellated Pavement:

• Take close-ups of the unique geological formations created by natural processes, resulting in a tiled appearance on the rock surface

• Photograph the diverse landscapes, from pristine beaches to dense forests.
• Bruny Island has a beautiufl lighthouse on its southern most tip which makes for great photographs pretty much anytime of day and year. 
• Capture shots of local wildlife, including seabirds and perhaps even a white wallaby.
• We would suggesting staying at least a night on Bruny Island to allow you to capture the sunrise and sunset. 
• The Neck - Truganini Lookout is also a great place to visit. 
• And one MUST do the Pennicott Bruny Island Cruise
